Activities and Clubs at Waverley
Pupils are self confident, with high self esteem and say they feel secure and valued in their school community. ISI
The school day and beyond at Waverley is packed full of fun and activities for children of all ages! We aim to provide children with a balanced, fun, active start in life that doesn't focus purely on their academic development in the classroom.
Activities Beyond the School Curriculum
During the school day, children are able to enjoy a wide variety of sporting, musical and peripatetic activities which are above and beyond the regular school curriculum. These nurture children's interests and talents and we believe lead to children who feel confident and fulfilled, with a broad span of interests to carry them through school and throughout their lives. Activities include dance, speech & drama, piano, guitar, rugby, cricket, netball, swimming and many more. To find out more, please view our specific pages about Sports, The Arts & Music, Forest School and Day Trips & Residentials.
Flexible Care 51 Weeks a Year - 7.30am - 6pm
Because we understand how difficult it is for parents to juggle work commitments and family life, activities do not stop at 3.30pm! Waverley offers comprehensive, flexible care 51 weeks a year from 7:30 am to 6pm with our Breakfast Club, After School Club and Holiday Club. Sessions are bookable in advance per term or on a flexible, ad hoc basis (subject to availability).
Our clubs are managed by our Extended Hours team who are part of the regular Waverley teaching staff. Children therefore enjoy continuity and the benefits of being cared for by familiar staff. We find many children prefer attending our clubs rather than going home at 3.30pm!
