School Inspection - Rated 'Excellent' by ISI
We are thrilled to announce that Waverley has been rated ‘Excellent’ in all categories (the highest possible grade) in our recent inspection by the ISI (Independent Schools Inspectorate) that took place in January.
The inspection involved 4 days of intense scrutiny of the school’s teaching, academic performance and pupil class work. Pupils’ social and well-being development was also assessed.
The report explained that ‘Pupils’ achievement is excellent’ and that they demonstrate ‘outstanding skills, knowledge and understanding,’ and ‘exhibit advanced mathematical skills for their age.’
The ISI also described the quality of pupils’ development as ‘excellent’ and commented that ‘pupils demonstrate outstanding moral development’ and ‘contribute strongly to the well-being of those around them.’
Waverley was also inspected across a wide range of both safeguarding and Health and Safety areas and we are delighted to confirm that the school was fully compliant in all areas.
Blair Jenkins, Chair of Governors comments, “I would like to thank Mr. Shore and all the Waverley staff, as well as both parents and children, for demonstrating to the ISI inspectors what an outstanding school Waverley is. The whole Waverley community should be immensely proud that the quality of education and pastoral care is once again officially recognised.”
