SATS Results of our 2026 Leavers

100% of our pupils met the accepted standard in Maths compared to a national average of 73%. (Year 6 of 2026)

95% of our pupils obtained a combined (ie. Reading, Writing and Maths) score of 'Achieved and Greater Depth' compared to a national average of 62%. (Year 6 of 2026)

93% of our pupils achieved the 'Expected Standard' for not only Reading, but also Spelling & Grammar, and Writing. This is compared to a national average of 74%, 72% and 72% respectively. (Year 6 of 2026) 

Waverley is thrilled to announce our latest SATS results for our Year 6 2026 Leavers. Waverley performs well above the national average in every subject.

In recent years, Waverley Prep has also significantly increased the proportion of pupils achieving Greater Depth with our superb 1-2-1 targeted support, a strong teaching team and a well-rounded curriculum. An example of this is that our combined Reading and Writing and Maths 'Met Standard' has risen from 82% in 2022 to 95% in 2026, compared to the national figure remaining stable at 59-62%. This widening gaps shows that Waverley is not only maintaining its high standards but accelerating improvement. 

In addition to the headline figures above, 79% of our Year 6 pupils in 2026 achieved Greater Depth for Reading and Spelling & Grammar. 

Top performers... with maximum SATS scores

A special mention should also be made to the following children (with 120 being the maximums score): 

- Spelling and Grammar (SPAG) - our top performers being Ellen and Sacha with 118, Eddie with 199 and Sienna, Jerald and Rebecca with a maximum possible score of 120. 

- Reading - Charlotte, William and Toby with 114, Eddie and Ellen with 117 and Aurelia, Sienna and Rebecca with a maximum possible score of 120. 

- Maths - Eddie with 116, Sienna with 119 and William, Toby and Rebecca with a maximum possible score of 120.

A key ethos of Waverley is to ensure that our Year 6 ‘graduates’ secure places at the right secondary school for them. There are significant differences between secondary schools in terms of ethos, teaching methods and culture. At Waverley, we believe that in order for each student to develop to their full potential, they secure a place at the school which will best advance and develop their individual skillsets.
