On Tuesday afternoon Mrs Morris took a group of Year Five and Six pupils to perform at a poetry competition at Holme Grange School. This was the first time Waverley had taken part in the event, alongside several other schools from the area and we acquitted ourselves very well.

In the solo competition Harriett performed beautifully a very funny poem that she wrote herself and Aleksandar moved the audience to silence with his sad poem entitled "No Ordinary Day". Yemo and Maddie delivered a very dramatic duet word perfectly and the group ensemble brought the hall to life with the Caribbean Carnival Cavalcade.

A very big 'well done' to Mya, Maddie, Yemo, Aleksandar, Harriett, Amy, Ellie, Eleanor, Rhea, Benjamin, Ayush and Jee and thank you for giving up several lunch breaks to get the quality of performance so high.
