Whole School Wicker-Weaving Project

Over the past three days, you may have spotted a rather special structure taking shape on the lawn at the front of school. Every child across the school had the chance to take part in some fantastic wicker-weaving workshops, helping to create the beautiful new woodland shelter.

Each class spent time learning the traditional tight-weave technique, contributing to building the incredible structure, which will stay on site for the whole school community to enjoy for many years to come. As a thank you for their efforts, every child also had the opportunity to make their own personal wicker crown to take home.

It has been wonderful to see the children so engaged in such a creative, hands-on project, working together to bring the structure to life. We are sure it will quickly become a much-loved feature of our school grounds. A big thank you to the WFA for funding this brilliant project and making it all possible.
