Waverley v. Gorse Ride Football Fixture

Congratulations to all the boys who took part in the football match against Gorse Ride School on Wednesday. The final score was 6-2 to Waverley with all the team playing their part in the match.

Every player played 45 minutes of the match with which saw lots of action in both goals. The game started well for Waverley with the defence holding strong and the midfield and attackers taking the ball deep into the oppositions half. The game had to wait almost 10 minutes for the first goal provided by Yemo Sung with a powerful drive just outside of the area.

Gorseride put up a fight and with the last kick of the first quarter they scored with a well worked corner. After the break the substitutes fitted well into the team and filled the boots of the boys they had replaced. As the match went on Waverley pushed for more goals and they dually got them with the goals coming from Hyun-mo, Henry, Harry and another one for Yemo.

A big congratulations to all the boys again for a great performance and a result which they deserved.
