PreparatoryWaverley Wears Yellow for World Mental Health Day
On Friday, it was World Mental Health Day and everyone at Waverley wore something yellow to support the charity Young Minds, showing young people that they are not alone with their mental health. It was wonderful to see a sea of yellow coming through the school gates, from t-shirts to socks, hats and even hair bands.
Hello Yellow!
At Waverley, we believe that positive mental health is vital to keeping children safe, happy and ready to learn. We are proud to offer a range of wellbeing resources, activities and support, including our two trained Mental Health Awareness First-Aiders, Mrs Hatton-Evans and Mrs Mayes, who are always available for a chat or regular catch-ups. We also have our ‘Time to Talk’ post-box and playground buddy system to ensure every child knows there is always someone ready to listen.
