Waverley U11's v.Hawley Place Football Match

On Wednesday 17^th October the Waverley U11's football team took on Hawley Place and put on an excellent performance. The team has grown in strength and confidence over the last half term and both these were on show throughout the match.

The match started well with the defence working together to mop up any trouble before it caused any problems for Harrison in goal. Unfortunately luck was with Hawley Place as they scored three times in as many minutes. After this early set back the whole team rallied to produce an excellent end to first half which saw Joe score with the final kick of the half.

The second half saw no more goals at either end but saw lots of chances especially for Waverley.

A special mention for Harry and Hyunmo who came on late in the game to add some extra attack down both wings. Had it not have been for a guest of wind sweeping across the pitch at the wrong time then Hyunmo could easily have scored a late goal. Well done to all the boys who played and produced a fantastic match despite the score.
