House Football Competition 2025
This week, we held another of our hotly anticipated events - the House Football Competition. Year 5 & 6 took to the pitch on Wednesday afternoon, with plenty of exciting matches taking place and the children showcasing the brilliant skills they have developed this half term. There were great performances all round, with lots of goals scored and some wonderful displays of sportsmanship. We were also joined by a special guest referee for the afternoon, as Otto (Year 5) stepped in to officiate whilst he was unable to compete himself.
Joshua L scored a fantastic long-distance goal and there were some more impressive strikes from Mikey, Eddie and Rebecca. We also saw outstanding goalkeeping from Eloise, William and Joseph. In the end, it was Jupiter who claimed victory in the Year 5 & 6 tournament... But the overall trophy was still undecided, with the Year 3 & 4 competition still to come.
Earlier today, Year 3 & 4 played their matches and once again we saw some brilliant football on display. There were superb performances from Jack, Samuel and Arlo, who scored some impressive goals, along with strong defending from Ataho and Emma, plus excellent goalkeeping from Nandi. Each team did a brilliant job, with everyone achieving points for their efforts.
It was Mercury who topped the table for Year 3 & 4 and once all the points were added up, Mr Mitchell was able to announce the overall House Football winners for 2025 were MERCURY!
A huge thank you to all the parents who came along to watch on the sidelines. It was wonderful to see so many of you supporting the children. See photos below:
