Foundation Trip to the Library

On Wednesday the children in our Foundation class visited the Library at the FBC Centre in

Finchampstead. There was great excitement as the children boarded the minibus at the start

of their trip which supports this terms Literacy topic - looking at books, poetry and literature.

The children had the opportunity to see how a Library works which will enable them to create

their own Library in the 'Home Corner'.

During their visit they listened to a story, were told about the role of a Librarian, became members

of the Library with their own Library card and then scanned a book out to take home and read.
