Car Park Reminder
It has become necessary to remind parents that we operate a strict ‘One Way’ system in our car park that must be adhered to at all times. The car park must be entered by the Waverley School sign and cars should proceed in a clockwise fashion only.

Woodley Festival Choir
Thank you very much to those parents and children who supported Woodley Choral event last Saturday. The children sang beautifully and were congratulated on their good discipline, diction and sweet tone. “Well done to you all!”  (Pauline Murphy)

World Book Day
Yesterday we celebrated World Book Day. The children and staff came to school dressed as their favourite book characters which made for a very colourful day.

Parents Tour and Discussion Morning
Letters will be going out next week to invite parents in for a preview of the new After School Club, Cookery, and Music and Drama facilities.

There will also be an opportunity to discuss the continued development of the curriculum over the past year and to discuss development plans for the coming years.

There will be two sessions available:

Afternoon session – Friday 15th March from 2:30 – 3:30pm

Morning Session – Thursday 28th March from 2:30 to 3:30pm

Comic Relief / Red Nose Day – Friday 15th February
This year we are aiming to make a very large ‘Waverley Red Nose’ by asking the pupils and staff to wear red to school on Red Nose Day. We will then take an aerial photograph of ‘our’ nose!

The children will also take part in fun activities during the afternoon which are being organised by Year 6.

We would be very grateful for a £1 donation from each child, although you may give more if you would like to. Your donations go towards giving shelter to young people in the UK living on the streets and protection to those living with domestic abuse. The money raised is also used in Africa going towards saving thousands from malaria and providing whole communities with fresh water and life-saving vaccines.
