2012 Olympic Torch Visits Waverley

The children very much enjoyed their talk from Wendy Shaw in Assembly. Wendy was chosen to take part in the Olympic Torch relay for her fundraising efforts for Guide Dogs for the Blind. It was quite inspirational hearing from Wendy the amazing races and marathons she has taken part in. Wendy finished her visit with a trip to each classroom so the children had an opportunity to see the beautiful torch close up.
