Thursday 11 December 2025 The Waverley Masked Singer 2025 Yesterday afternoon, we held the very first Waverley Masked Singer competition. Four mystery teachers took to the stage to battle it out for the title of Best Singer. Mr Shore had the fun job of hosting, whilst our Head Boy and Head Girl, alongside their deputies, took on the role of judges.

Wednesday 10 December 2025 Father Christmas Visit to Waverley 2025 Earlier today, there was a 'jolly' exciting visitor in the Nursery and School. We must have all made the nice list, as Father Christmas managed to squeeze in a quick visit to Waverley during his very busy festive schedule.

Tuesday 9 December 2025 A Miracle in Town Christmas Production Earlier today, we welcomed parents in for the Foundation and Reception Christmas performance. This year, the children performed the nativity ‘A Miracle in Town' and it was absolutely fantastic! A huge well done to our Reception class who took on the leading roles for the performance. From Mary and Joseph, to shepherds, camels and wise men, they were all brilliant! Well done also to Foundation who took part in their first Waverley production. All of the children sang beautifully and sat so patiently throughout the whole performance. They also looked absolutely fantastic in their costumes! See the photos below:

Monday 8 December 2025 A Victorian Christmas Production On Friday evening, our Key Stage 2 students took part in their Christmas production of A Victorian Christmas. The children did a fantastic job, with incredible acting and singing throughout. A special mention goes to Charlotte, Bea, Sacha, Aurelia and Molly for their wonderful solo performances. They all sang beautifully! A huge well done to everyone involved; it truly was a brilliant show and lovely to have parents join in with the singing at the end. Thank you for adding to the festive atmosphere! See photos from the performance below:

Friday 5 December 2025 Prickly Hay Christmas Production This morning, children from Year 1 and 2 took part in their Christmas production, ‘Prickly Hay'. It was lovely to be able to welcome so many parents and family members into school to watch the performance. The children did an absolutely 'yee-haw-worthy' job! 'Hats off' to both classes who remembered all of their lines, spoke so clearly, sang beautifully and also demonstrated their very best dance moves! A big thank you to Ms. Bell and Mrs Mayes for all their hard work, pulling the whole thing together! It was fantastic! See photos below:

Friday 28 November 2025 House Football Competition 2025 This week, we held another of our hotly anticipated events - the House Football Competition. Year 5 & 6 took to the pitch on Wednesday afternoon, with plenty of exciting matches taking place and the children showcasing the brilliant skills they have developed this half term. There were great performances all round, with lots of goals scored and some wonderful displays of sportsmanship. We were also joined by a special guest referee for the afternoon, as Otto (Year 5) stepped in to officiate whilst he was unable to compete himself.

Friday 28 November 2025 Outstanding Senior School Entrance Results for Year 6 2025 Cohort Waverley is proud of its strong tradition of supporting every Year 6 pupil in securing a senior school place that best nurtures their individual strengths and aspirations. We also value providing pupils with a broad choice of secondary school opportunities.

Monday 24 November 2025 World War II Day Earlier today, pupils in Years 5 and 6 took part in an exciting and educational World War II experience, led by Portals To The Past. Throughout the day, the children explored the timeline of the war, participated in a bomb disposal activity, tried their skills at code breaking and examined a range of artefacts and weapons.

Friday 14 November 2025 A Roar-some Day at Waverley! Yesterday was a very special day at Waverley as we celebrated Dino Day! It was very exciting for Pre-Foundation, Foundation, Reception and KS1 children as they arrived at school dressed as dinosaurs and explorers, ready for a prehistoric fun day. We saw a fantastic array of costumes. From roaring triceratops' to adventurous paleontologists, everyone looked amazing!

Friday 7 November 2025 Year 5 Remembrance Day Assembly Earlier today, our Year 5 class led a very special Remembrance Day assembly, held ahead of November 11th next Tuesday. The children shared a thoughtful poem and stories of their family members who served and lived through wars in the past. The whole school also sang a special performance of ‘We Will Remember Them' to help us all remember and honour those who have served for our country. A two minute silence then followed with a rendition of ‘The Last Post' played throughout the hall.

Wednesday 22 October 2025 Waverley House Poetry Competition 2025 Congratulations to all our medal winners in our House Poetry Competition. Mrs Adams, our adjudicator, commented on all the childrens' confidence, clear diction and good pace. She also thought that all our pupils were extremely brave to even stand up in front of such a large audience and perform.

Monday 13 October 2025 Waverley Wears Yellow for World Mental Health Day On Friday, it was World Mental Health Day and everyone at Waverley wore something yellow to support the charity Young Minds, showing young people that they are not alone with their mental health. It was wonderful to see a sea of yellow coming through the school gates, from t-shirts to socks, hats and even hair bands.

Tuesday 30 September 2025 Harvest Festival Donations Yesterday, we were delighted to welcome representatives from The Salvation Army Wokingham, who came to collect all of our Harvest Festival donations. They were truly overwhelmed by the generosity of our Waverley families and I could not be prouder. Thanks to your kindness, these donations will now reach those in need, reflecting the wonderful community spirit we share here at Waverley. Thank you all once again for your support!
