ISA National Athletics Champions 2026

Waverley is proud to have won the headline team event at the ISA (Independent Schools Association) National Athletics Championships claiming the title of 'National Champions'. Having qualified through previous regional events first of all for the London area, and then the South East, the Waverley team ran their hearts out to win the overall national event at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. 

Hugo, Dominic, Samuel and Matthew produced an impressive performance to win the closely-fought race of the 4 x 100mts Relay Final. The boys had battled hard in such a strong field and were delighted to be awarded their gold medals which they wore with pride around school for the rest of the week!

Well done to Dominic who also secured an outstanding silver medal in the vortex, and to Anya who ran brilliantly to finish 5th in the 75 mts sprint. 

Waverley is thrilled at this result as it demonstrates our commitment to encourage our pupils to strive for excellence in all that they do, whether this is academics, sports, performing art or music.
