Waverley Prep School and Nursery enjoys a semi-rural location on the outskirts of Finchampstead, near Wokingham, Berkshire, in the centre of the Thames Valley area. Our peaceful location is south of Wokingham town centre at the end of a quiet residential street. We adjoin Berkshire countryside and the neighbouring Sand Martins Golf Course.

Accessing Waverley from Wokingham

Take the A321 to the roundabout with car showroom and garage on your right. Take the B3016 Finchampstead Road. At the next roundabout turn right into Barkham Ride. After 0.2 miles turn right into Nashgrove Lane and after 0.3 miles turn right into Waverley Way. Waverley School is at the very end of the road (0.4 miles).

Accessing Waverley from the South

Take Nine Mile Ride (B3430) or Finchampstead Road (B3016) to California Crossroads (double mini-roundabout and shops). Head towards Wokingham on Finchampstead Road. At the next roundabout turn left into Barkham Ride. After 0.2 miles turn right into Nashgrove Lane and after 0.3 miles turn right into Waverley Way. Waverley School is at the very end of the road (0.4 miles).

Accessing Waverley From Further Afield

Central Reading is 10 miles away and approx. 26 mins drive or 15 mins by train.

Central London is 42 miles away and approx. 1hr 20 mins drive or 35 mins by train. 

Motorway Links: 

Junction 10 (A 329M) of the M4. Access Waverley either through Wokingham town centre or via Winnersh. Waverley is approx. 12-15 minutes from the motorway junction.

Wokingham Train Station - 3 miles (12 mins drive). To London Waterloo 1hr 10mins (South Western Railway)

Twyford Train Station - 8 miles (23 mins drive). London Paddington 45 mins (Elizabeth Line)

Our Facilities

 Waverley enjoys large playing fields, a beautiful Forest School area, two playgrounds and our own dedicated car park with one-way system. 

Indoors, we benefit from two large school halls, an ICT suite, a library and quiet study zone, as well as individual music practice rooms. The majority of our site benefits from fully-installed, temperate controlled air conditioning.

Our site is fully secure with key fob access only and a double security-bubble entry system.
