Grammar School Results

We are delighted to announce our fantastic 11+ Grammar School entrance results.

In 2023,  92% of our pupils passed the 11+ (grammar). This included boys passing  the Reading Boys grammar exam, with several also passing for Buckinghamshire Grammar.  Our girls passed the Kendrick (Reading) Grammar exam, and several also passed for Slough Grammar.  

In 2024, 86% of our Year 6 pupils passed the 11+ (grammar school) exam. All pupils applied for Reading grammar schools. (As Waverley is a non-selective school and does not require pupils to take an entrance exam to be considered for a place at Waverley, the academic ability and therefore the pass rates to grammar schools, do vary slightly each year).

Waverley is always fully committed to ensuring our pupils reach their full potential and these results are a reflection of this.  The continuing success of Waverley’s students is due to a combination of fully committed and dedicated staff, supportive parents, bright happy children and the low staff to pupil ratio.  

Over the past 12 years, Waverley’s SATs results have been outstanding, placing us consistently in the Times Top 100 Schools out of some 2,026 UK Prep schools. This makes Waverley the ‘Best Prep School’ in Berkshire for the last 12 years.
