Fees for Waverley Prep School
Waverley Prep School is ranked 'Best in Berkshire' and 15th in the UK. These rankings are based on the academic results (SATS) of our Year 6 pupils. We are also currently ranked number 1 primary and Prep School in the Reading and Wokingham area based on our current SATS results of our Year 6 pupils. Waverley has also been rated 'Excellent' in our most recent graded school inspection (2022) and 100% compliant in our February 2024 inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI). Our Nursery is inspected as 'Outstanding'.
Fee Structure
Our fee structure charges core school fees (08:30hrs - 15:30hrs) and Breakfast/After School Club separately. This means that parents only pay for the wrap-around care that is used.
Fee Payment Timescales
Fees are due in full by the first day of each term.

Sibling Discounts
Where there are two or more siblings attending the school at the same time a discretionary discount is applied to the older sibling's fees. A discretionary discount may also be available for the older school pupil when a younger sibling is attending the Nursery for a minimum of 40 hours per week. Please contact the Admissions Dept for further information at admissions@waverleyschool.co.uk.
Notice Period
If a pupil is to be withdrawn from School, a full term's notice in writing must be given, otherwise parents will be required to pay the full fees for the following term. 'A full term's notice' means for example, that should a child wish to leave at the end of the Summer Term, then notice must be given by the last day of the Easter holidays.
For children who have accepted a Reception place, the notice period is two full terms' notice until the child has completed their Reception year.
Scholarships and Bursaries
Occasionally the school may offer scholarships that are awarded based on merit. Existing Waverley families who require additional assistance with fees may apply for a means-tested bursary. For more information on our latest Scholarship opportunities, click here.
