Adventures Beyond the Classroom

At Waverley we are keen to offer our pupils life-enriching opportunities to develop their skills, confidence and understanding beyond the school curriculum. These activities are a key factor in their learning journey.

Performing In The Wider Community

Throughout the Prep School (Year 3 onwards) children are actively encouraged to take part in a wide variety of competitions and community events. These include sports fixtures, maths challenges, choir competitions and poetry recitals against other local schools. Waverley pupils have recently given outstanding performances at the Woodley Festival and Wellington College Maths Challenge.

Day Trips

Every year group at Waverley, from Reception onwards, enjoys regular school trips. These have included visits to Kew Gardens, the Science Museum, Hampton Court Palace, Windsor Castle and the Natural History Museum. Our school trips are carefully planned to offer a balance of age-appropriate cultural, artistic and historical activities.

Residential Trips

In Key Stage 2 (Year 3 onwards), all pupils at Waverley are encouraged to participate in our residential trips. Combining adventure and fun, the residential trips offer inspirational outdoor learning. Pupils have the freedom to discover, learn and explore about themselves and the wider world in a safe, stimulating environment. Waverley pupils always return home more confident, a little more independent and with wonderful memories!
