Special Needs

At Waverley our class sizes are small and we pride ourselves on the personal attention that we can give individual children.

Children with needs, such as dyslexia, work with our Special Education Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO), either in small groups or individually.

Our SENCO prepares Individual Education Plans and Classroom Management Plans which inform class and subject teachers and helps them to plan work accordingly.

We also have a team of Learning Support Assistants who are deployed to work with children in the classroom to support and extend learning. There is no charge for this.

If an individual child has needs that demand over and above the support of our SENCO or one of our Learning Support Assistants, we would discuss this with the parents and a personalised arrangement could be made that may warrant extra fees being charged.
