Sport

At Waverley children are given the chance to take part in a number of different sports. From an early age every child is given the opportunity to swim every week at a local pool with qualified teachers. In school children are given the opportunities to take part in both team and individual games. Sports played include netball, football, tag rugby, rounders, cricket, tennis and hockey. All children in Key Stage 2 are given the chance to play in competitive games against other local schools. Children in Key Stage 2 are also given the chance to take part in cross country lessons around the school field and along nearby country paths. Within these lessons children are given techniques to help improve their stamina and build up their speed.
