Learning Success

We believe that all children should have the opportunity to succeed and receive an individualised education. That is why there is no extra charge for our Learning Success facility.

At Waverley, the individual needs of the children are paramount.  All our pupils have skills, talents and abilities and these are developed to the full. Students with special educational needs are supported to help them achieve full access to the whole school curriculum.Our Learning Success Department works with children who have specific needs, gifted and talented children, and those who need support in the short-term. 

The Learning Success Team comprises of fully qualified staff members who have a range of experience across the spectrum of teaching and learning and Special Educational Needs.  Children work with the Learning Success department individually and in small groups.  We also have Learning Success Assistants who are deployed to work with children in the classroom to support and extend learning.

We work closely with parents to ensure that they are involved with the Learning Success of their child.  Individual Education Plans are shared and communicated at regular meetings, and the involvement of parents is encouraged.
