The School's Origins
Waverley School in Wokingham, Berkshire, was founded in 1945. In 1997 this Berkshire preparatory school moved to the purpose-built building on the current site having been situated in a former hotel converted for school use on a one-acre site in Crowthorne, Berkshire. The school now also enjoys its own ample, safe parking away from roads and is situated beside playing fields and a local nature conservation area.
Our history can be found here.
Our purpose-built independent school offers generous classroom space alongside specialist rooms for music, art, science and technology, information and communication technology and a library. Two large halls provide for physical education, concerts, plays and dining. Playing fields large enough to accommodate three full-size soccer pitches adjoin our preparatory school. Waverley Nursery is located in a separate lodge away from the main prep school with its own outdoor play area for infants and toddlers. Waverley Pre-school (Pre-Prep) is located within the main school in its own self-contained preschool unit.
