Waverley School Nursery and Pre-Preparatory is dedicated to providing excellent nursery and pre-school care and education in a happy atmosphere for children from 3 months to 5 years of age. It is considered as one of the premier nurseries in Wokingham and one of the top nurseries in Berkshire, attracting children from Finchampstead, Wokingham, Crowthorne, Reading, Bracknell and South Berkshire. It was rated as 'Outstanding' in a recent ISI (Ofsted inspection equivalent).

September 2010 saw the opening of our baby nursery offering first-class provision for babies from 3 months in our beautiful Lodge situated within the school grounds. The Waverley Nursery offers care and individual support to babies and toddlers who also enjoy a separate nursery garden and outdoor play area away from the main school.

Situated within the Waverley School building, the Pre-Preparatory (Pre-Prep) is Ofsted registered and is open 51 weeks of the year, from 8am to 6pm Monday – Friday. Children can attend on a flexible session basis, making it extremely convenient for parents.

Our Early Years practitioners are highly qualified in childcare, additional needs and child protection and work closely with you to ensure that your child’s individual needs are met. Our team will provide your child with care and encouragement as they take their first steps into education.

Waverley Nursery follows the Early Learning Goals based on the Early Years Foundation Stage. These will be delivered by a key worker, and you will be kept informed of your child’s activities through regular feedback. We believe that close communication with parents is vital. Within a structured daily routine, children will have access at all times to a wide range of educational toys, games and activities covering the six areas of learning from the Early Years Foundation Stage:
